What are metal detectable trace tags?

Detectable trace tags (also known as metal detectable loop tags or detectable batch tags) are used to replace traditional paper tags in food production. They include an embedded detectable layer so they can be identified by metal detection systems, helping reduce the risk of tag fragments becoming an undetected foreign body.
