RFID cable tie tags combine a durable RFID tag body with a cable tie, self-locking cable or fastener-style fixing. They are designed for assets that need to be identified, tracked or inspected but may not be suitable for an adhesive RFID label. These tags are well suited to tools, equipment, containers, cages, cases, returnable assets and other moveable items used within asset management, inspection and audit routines.

RFID technology can help speed up asset checks, particularly where items are stored in volume, moved between locations, or difficult to scan individually by line of sight. Unlike visual-only barcodes or printed asset labels, RFID tags do not rely solely on a visible code being clean and readable, which can be beneficial where labels may be affected by abrasion, dirt, handling or exposure to demanding working environments.

Best for: Industrial asset management, equipment inspection regimes, tool and container identification, facilities audits, returnable transport items

Bespoke RFID Asset Tag Solutions

RFID technology is available in multiple formats to solve different challenges for asset monitoring and inspection. UHF RFID options are typically suited to asset tracking, equipment identification and inspection routines where a longer read range may be required. HF RFID and NFC options can also be considered for closer-range applications, including mobile-device interaction, tap-to-read checks, or where a shorter scan distance is preferred. Depending on the selected tag, reader, antenna, mounting surface and operating environment, UHF RFID tags may support longer read ranges. We can also review application-specific requirements, including RFID tags with suitable IP ratings, chemical resistance and temperature performance ranges.

RFID Tags in Multiple Formats

RFID cable tie tags are available in a range of body styles, fixing formats and with custom printable flags. Particular formats will suit intended asset, reader setup and working environment. Each format features a flag head which can be customised to include text, logo markings, human-readable asset identification numbers, barcodes or QR codes for situations where an RFID reader is not immediately available.
